Robert C. Farenhem

Robert C. Farenhem
President & CEO


Mr. Farenhem has been the President of Devcon since April 2007 and CEO since October 2009. Mr. Farenhem was formerly a Principal of Royal Palm Capital Partners from April 2003 to March 2010. Between April 2005 and December 2005, Mr. Farenhem was Devcon's Interim Chief Financial Officer and Chief Financial Officer between February and April 2007. Prior to joining Royal Palm Capital, from February 2002 through April 2003, Mr. Farenhem was Executive Vice President of Strategic Planning and Corporate Development for Bancshares of Florida and Chief Financial Officer for Bank of Florida. Previously, Mr. Farenhem was an investment banker with Bank of America Securities from October 1998 to February 2002, advising on mergers and acquisitions, public and private equity, leveraged buyouts and other financings. Mr. Farenhem graduated from the University of Miami, where he received his BBA in Finance.

Mark M. McIntosh

Mark M. McIntosh
Chief Financial Officer


Mark M. McIntosh has been Devcon's Chief Financial Officer since January 2008. Mr. McIntosh joined Devcon as the Company's Vice President of Finance and Strategic Business Development in July 2007. Prior to Devcon, Mr. McIntosh served as Chief Financial Officer and Partner with The Restaurant People LLC, where he was responsible for all financial, human resource and technology related matters for the company. Prior to The Restaurant People, Mr. McIntosh served as Director of Finance and Corporate Development for SportsLine.com, a leading interactive sports media company. While at SportsLine.com, Mr. McIntosh played a key role in the company's operational and strategic finance initiatives that included deals with CBS, AOL and the NFL. Before joining SportsLine.com, Mr. McIntosh served as Strategies Associate with Bank of America, N.A., where he was responsible for merger and acquisition financing, as well as financing high growth public and private middle market companies. In this capacity, he evaluated and structured transactions using public and private equity, public and private senior debt and mezzanine securities. Prior to Bank of America, Mr. McIntosh was employed by Kidder, Peabody & Co./PaineWebber Inc. Mr. McIntosh received his BBA in Finance from Georgia State University.

Ann_McDowel

Ann MacDonald
Senior Vice President of Finance


Ms. MacDonald has been Senior Vice President & Secretary since March 2011 when she was promoted from Vice President & Secretary, a post she held since February 2008 and Treasurer since February 2006 with Devcon. From December 2004, Ms. MacDonald held various finance and treasury positions within Devcon. Between March 2004 and December 2004, Ms. MacDonald worked as a private consultant. From February 1998 to March 2004, Ms. MacDonald worked for Carlisle Holdings Limited and Carlisle's US subsidiary, OneSource Holdings, Inc., as Treasurer where she advised on mergers and acquisitions in addition to managing the group's worldwide treasury and cash management systems. From July 1997 to February 1998, Ms. MacDonald worked for Tyco International Limited as Assistant Treasurer. From June 1990 to June 1997, Ms. MacDonald worked for ADT Limited as Manager of Treasury Operations. Previously, Ms. MacDonald was a commercial banker with First National State Bank of New Jersey. Ms. MacDonald graduated from Cornell University, where she received her BS in Finance 1982 and MBA 1990.

Robert C. Farenhem

Kimberly Marcil
Senior Vice President of Human Resources & Management Development


Ms. Marcil has been Senior Vice President since March 2011 when she was promoted from Vice President, a post she held since October 2009, overseeing Devcon's Human Resources and Management Development initiatives. Previously, Ms. Marcil managed Human Resource matters for Royal Palm Capital Partners ("RPCP") and the publicly and privately held companies owned by its affiliates. Ms. Marcil has over twenty years experience in employee relations, executive counseling and recruiting for several publicly traded companies, such as Viacom, Inc., Blockbuster Entertainment Group, the Luxotica Group and NewLeaf Entertainment (a joint venture partnership between IBM and Blockbuster). Ms. Marcil also has substantial government relations experience having worked in the White House and for the Republican National Committee and the Republican Party of Florida. Ms. Marcil received a B.S. in Politics and Political Affairs with minors in English and Biology from the University of Miami.

Allen Farenhem

Allen Farenhem
Vice President of IT


Allen Farenhem joined the Devcon Security team in October 2009 and currently manages all IT operations and development. He came to Devcon after spending six years as the Director of Development & Maritime IT Operations with Steiner Leisure. During his tenure there, Mr. Farenhem led the team responsible for designing, developing and supporting technical interfaces with business partners like Carnival Cruise Line, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line and Costa Crociere. Allen previously held Director-level positions with both ScriptRx, Inc. and BioLink Technologies. As a principal founder of two Internet software companies, Mr. Farenhem is also a successful entrepreneur. His degree is from the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika.

Keith Patterson

Keith Patterson
Senior Vice President of Operations


Keith Patterson joined Devcon Security in December 2010. Mr. Patterson is a 24 year veteran of the security industry. Over the past year, he acquired Control Security and Surveillance in the Austin, TX market and expanded it to the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Keith was part of the Brinks Home Security/Broadview Security organization for 23 years. He started his career as a technician in the DFW area and quickly advanced to become General Manager of the San Antonio and Atlanta markets. He was promoted to Regional Director in 1997 and in 2001 was promoted to Vice President of Inspection Operations. Keith culminated his tenure in the role of Vice President of Operations which he accepted in 2002. In this role, he had over 2600 employees from across the United States that reported through his organization. He had an integral role in building relationships and programs centered around Home Inspectors, Home Builders and the Brink's Dealer Network.

Kristin Clark

Kristin Clark
Vice President of Marketing


Kristin Clark has been the Devcon Security's Vice President of Marketing since December 2010. She came to Devcon after working in marketing for Brink's Home Security/Broadview Security for twelve years. As Director of Marketing at Brink's, Ms Clark managed a $30 million dollar a year direct- response marketing campaign to drive leads to the sales force and solidify the Brink's Home Security brand as a household name. She was part of the five person team involved in renaming the company from the iconic Brink's name to Broadview Security after the company was spun off from the Brink's Company in October of 2008. Prior to Brink's, Kristin held the position of Director of Marketing for Pizza Inn, a franchised pizza chain with over 350 units located throughout the southeast United States. During her six plus years at the company, she was instrumental in new product roll-outs and the launch of a new concept, Pizza Inn Express, as well as the development of franchisee cooperative marketing programs. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a BA in Art and a minor in Journalism.

Barry Bruce

Barry Bruce
Vice President of National Sales


Barry Bruce became a part of the Devcon Security team in January of 2011. Prior to accepting his post as Vice President of National Sales, Barry held the same title at Brink’s Home Security/Broadview Security for six years. During his twelve-year tenure he also held the position of Director – Central Region and Director – National Sales which included the development and implementation of sales training programs, compensation and managing the inside and outside sales process. During that time Mr. Bruce was instrumental in increasing the conversion of sales opportunities by 30% through the implementation of new sales processes and lead development team. Barry has a BBA in Marketing from Abilene Christian University.

Rob Washington

Rob Washington
Vice President of Customer Care


Rob Washington has been with Devcon Security as the Vice President of Customer Care and Monitoring since March of 2011. He came to us from Brink’s Home Security/Broadview Security where he spent ten years developing the Customer Care and Loyalty programs in which the company was widely respected. During his tenure Rob contributed to the company being recognized six years in a row with the JD Power & Associates Contact Center Certification. Rob was also an integral player in turning around a service program which was operating at a loss into a multimillion dollar revenue stream within one year. Prior to Brink’s, he also held management positions with Alliance Data Systems and Mobile Comm, Personal Communications. Rob also served in the U.S. Army in Special Weapons where he held Top Secret security clearance.
